To be honest with you, one singular platform that has transformed the way we connect globally is Facebook, Inc.
Since its inception in 2004 Facebook never ceased to amaze the world via its continuous and seamless digital transformation.
With over 3 billion+ people on its platform, so many predicted it’s death as a platform but yet it continues to stand and even become a mother to all other upcoming online platforms.
The ability to connect with loved ones and families in a seamless and easy manner has made Facebook the centre for connection and quick bonding on the internet.
Never minding any individual that you have not seen for a long time or even heard from, Facebook has made the world a global village thereby making important connections very easy.
All you just need to do is to do a very quick search and they all appear in a speed of light.
Facebook is also known as the centre of connection for large and small business owners.
A business owner can easily connect with their customers with a speed of light without having to run a heavy ad campaign or even have a special brick and mortar shop or office.
Customers can easily connect with potential services and businesses via their Facebook business pages.
Before going further into how to turn the rich network of people on this platform into wealth, I think it’s better we analyze Facebook’s timeline so as to better understand the vision behind this great company.
In the history of the Internet, one of the companies with the best acquisition is Google, Inc followed by Facebook.
Facebook has followed the path of its mother company in the acquisition of great startup’s necessary to the propagation of its vision and survival.
Just as Google acquired YouTube, Gmail, Blogger and developed different platform.
Facebook has also followed it’s footstep in acquiring startups like Instagram, Whats app and Messenger.
Let us now briefly go back and follow up on Facebook’s timeline.

Facebook Messenger is an American messaging app and platform developed by Facebook, Inc.
Originally developed as Facebook Chat in 2008, the company revamped its messaging service in 2010, and subsequently released standalone iOS and Android apps in August 2011 and standalone Facebook Portal.
Instagram is an American photo and video-sharing social networking service owned by Facebook, Inc.
It was created by Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger and launched in October 2010 on iOS.
After its launch in 2010, Instagram rapidly gained popularity, with one million registered users in two months, 10 million in a year, and 1 billion as of May 2019.
In April 2012, Facebook acquired the service for approximately US$1 billion in cash and stock.
As of October 2015, over 40 billion photos had been uploaded.
4. What’s app.
WhatsApp Messenger, or simply WhatsApp, is an American freeware, cross-platform messaging and Voice over IP (VoIP) service owned by Facebook, Inc.
WhatsApp was founded in 2009 by Brian Acton and Jan Koum, former employees of Yahoo!. After leaving Yahoo! in September 2007, they took some time off in South America.
The client application was created by WhatsApp Inc. of Mountain View, California, which was acquired by Facebook in February 2014 for approximately US$19.3 billion.
It became the world’s most popular messaging application by 2015 and has over 2 billion users worldwide as of February 2020.
We can see from the above-stated timeline that Facebook is hell-bent on building a very huge network that has never existed on the internet.
My Personal Experience.
Just before I go on let me briefly narrate my experience with Facebook.
When I started my journey as an online entrepreneur I started as a web designer which led me to become a freelancer for small businesses and companies.
Then I decided to go into a more efficient business which required sales.
I had no option but to look for a platform that was designed for sales, there were pretty much-classified websites and e-commerce platform in my country but all do not work out as planned.
After, a long period of drought, I then decided to try our Facebook.
I experimented a lot, took online courses and I started becoming better at scaling businesses with Facebook.
I understood what campaign objective was best for any kind of business and this made a lot of small business owners look on to me for guidance on Facebook ads.
To cut the long story short, it been almost 7 years as a Facebook expert and I must tell you that it has been an amazing ride.
All the way from network marketing to real estate and even selling my own product, It’s been Facebook all the way.

With over 7+ years in the use of Facebook, I must confess that Facebook is a very dynamic platform that is undergoing changes too often.
If you are a newbie or a non-geeky person then you might get lost in the process.
So many things don’t seem right on its platform most especially if you are involved in paid advertising.
Smaller budgets no longer convert like they used to, organic growth is now impossible unlike back in the days.
What then is the answer to all these?
Don’t fret, you just need to understand the rudiment and follow up with changes update on its platform.

Just like your personal profile, A Facebook Business page gives you the access and space your business need on its platform.
Things like Post, photos and a special identity can be attributed to your business whenever you have a Facebook Page.
Another interesting thing is that you as the sole owner of the Facebook page have the access to post and oversee the affairs of the business page without your identity being leaked.
you can also add another individual as either an administrator, editor, advertiser irrespective to your Facebook business page.
You are not eligible to place paid ads on Facebook until you have a Facebook business page.

2. Own A Website or Blog
A Facebook business page gives your business a unique identity on the social media platform only.
But You should also note that people constantly search on Google and they are likely to come across your website or content on your blog.
You should make sure to embed your social media links such as the link to your Facebook business page alongside your article.
This can also give your business credibility and enable customers to learn more about your business.
Lastly, you should put out the link of your website on your Facebook page so as to enable customers to learn about your business.

3. Use Instagram.
One of the best and most favourable platforms acquired by Facebook is Instagram.

It became the official Facebook messaging platform not too long ago.

One of the latest updates of the Facebook messenger is the ability to integrate messenger chatbot into your Facebook business via a preferred third party chatbot building software.
If your business is all about building leads and constantly communicating with people on per time basis then you need to start leveraging on the use of the Facebook Messenger,
Messenger comes with your Facebook business page by default.

I used my first bots like four years ago and I must confess that it was a very wonderful experience.

As mentioned above, I started generating leads via Messenger but I discovered that leads could eventually block you from messaging them if they were pissed off with the way you disturbed them.
This was a red flag and I needed to seek for something else, then I found Whats-app Business.
The initial versions were under testing for so many months and finally became an official means to run Ads and direct your leads.
I was finally free because customers feel more free chatting via Whats app than any platform.
They feel it more private and safer than chatting via social media.
People no longer feel safe online again and now want to go hiding.
The prefer What’s app as to the official Facebook platform.
Facebook is reading everything about you, from your interest to people around you.
It’s data science you don’t have to fear cos those data are collected by Facebook to make the platform better and efficient for advertisers and users.
In order word, Facebook is trying to understand you better so as to deliver what you really need.

You can then add the number to your Facebook business page and potential customers can request for information on your business via the platform.
6. Subscribe to paid advertising.
I am sorry to say this but it is very true, Organic is dead on social media so just forget it if you think you can grow normally on social media without paid ads.
Many years ago It was easy to strategise on Facebook and grown organically, but i must tell you it is a different story now.
You will be wasting your time to think you can do that.
Social media are powered by an infrastructure called Streams, It is majorly used in designing basically every social media you say today.
It basically designed to help you build relationships, You like something then you follow, when an update comes from that thing then you either get notified or it pops in your news feed.
It has been reported that Facebook has spent over $4 Billion dollars on its Feed infrastructure.
They are not messing up with it anymore, they want their money back.
